Novak Djokovic is back, for the first time since the Australian Open.

He had a tough opener against Matteo Berrettini.

Djokovic was already on the winning side after combining with Fernando Verdasco for an expeditious doubles win over Khachanov and Bublik on Monday. But Berrettini got him for the first time.

As well, Félix Auger-Aliassime is back after winning Rotterdam, and then missing Marseille with a toe issue. He got through a squeaker.

And Buenos Aires champion Joao Fonseca had time to process, as he took the court at home in Rio. It was all a little too much for the kid.
