A number of seeds out early in Dubai. But Félix Auger-Aliassime got through a tough one against the mercurial but talented Alexander Bublik.
The three seeds remaining (Medvedev, Tsitsipas and Humbert) are all in the top half of the draw.
So for Auger-Aliassime, it’s another great opportunity as he is by far the highest-ranked player left in the bottom half. And he got through unseeded Nino Burges in another tight one.
In Acapulco? Total carnage. The top six seeds went out – three to a gastro bug, three via upsets. But No. 9 seed Denis Shapovalov is still cooking.
In Santiago, a nationwide power outage (!!!!) cut short the schedule on Tuesday, so there was some making up to do.
