Tuesday night be a bit of a light day in Miami, with the first-round action not including any seeds.
But with a couple of notable and accomplished moms returning (at various stages) from maternity leave, there are a couple of Grand Slam champions in the house.
Naomi Osaka, whose 2025 season hasn’t been going well in part because of injury, is on the Grandstand court (the big stadium won’t see action until Wednesday).
Also – 2023 Miami champion Petra Kvitova, who just returned from having her son last month and has since turned 35. She plays Sofia Kenin, who won the doubles last year and grew up almost within walking distance of the stadium.
