It’s an “old-school” 1000 – meaning it doesn’t extend annoyingly and eternally over two weeks, but wraps up in a week of non-stop action.

A pair of young Italians, Flavio Cobolli and Luciano Darderi, take titles in Europe.

In Houston, because of a long rain delay, the doubles final was postponed to Sunday and the singles final will start an hour later, at 3 p.m. local. And Jenson Brooksby completed his crazy run from the qualifying to win his first career ATP Tour title.
