Added to Lorenzo Musetti was No. 1 Jannik Sinner – who is playing his first tournament since the Australian Open.

And he looked so completely ridiculously good in dismantling Casper Ruud on Thursday that it’s hard to believe he was out that long.

Against Tommy Paul, a different kind of challenge, he had more trouble – and some physical issues – but he got through to play Carlos Alcaraz in the final.
