Two Canadians remained as the final round of qualifying went Thursday at Roehampton.

Carson Branstine was up first at 6 a.m. against unseeded Raluka Serban of Cyprus. And despite some nervy moments, she got through.

And Victoria Mboko got the big TV court (the only TV court), but had to wait through a best-of-five set men’s match before she could get on. In the end, she had five match points in the second set, but the body kind of said no más after that.
