WASHINGTON, D.C. – Saturday was pretty hectic at the Citi Open, with the first round of qualifying, a kids’ day, and all the main draw players practicing to prepare for the start of of play.

But about 4 p.m ., the skies opened (as they are wont to do here on a regular basis). And it never stopped enough so by 7 p.m., they cancelled the rest of play with Rebecca Marino with a set, and 4-4 in the second set. She couldn’t come back on Sunday.

Seeds prevailed on both sides, for the most part.
