And there are two teams with Canadian interests involved with the Cana-Kiwis (Gabrela Dabrowski and Erin Routliffe) there more or less as you’d expect, and the pickup wild card team of Leylah Fernandez and Venus Williams definitely a bit of a surprise.
They had a pretty tough ask, though, against No. 1s Townsend and Siniakova. Who showed them who’s boss on the doubles court.
