In Hangzhou, an unexpected All-French affair between No. 4 seed Corentin Moutet and qualifier Valentin Royer. The two, somewhat surprisingly given how many tournaments these players contest at home in France, had never met. Not even at the Challenger level. And the qualifier got through.
