The cousins – Monegasque Valentin Vacherot and Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech – went all the way to the final and met in the biggest match of their lives.
They had to get past Djokovic and a resurgent Daniil Medvedev. And they did. It’s a … different sort of final. But also a great story.
The big cousin ran out of gas. And Vacherot, for the sixth time in nine matches, came back from a set down to win.
So much emotion in the aftermath, too. What a moment for tennis.
