It’s that time of year – the last week of the “regular season”, as it were.

A lot of names you won’t recognize unless you’re a true diehard get their chances at the WTA level, because there are THREE 250 tournaments and a lot of the players who might otherwise populate them have wrapped it up for 2025.

There are a few left, though – including the top two Canadians: Leylah Fernandez and Victoria Mboko. They play Tuesday.

Most of those familiar names are in the highest-quality of the three, in Hong Kong. But it’s great that there’s a 250-level tournament for women in India. Even though the weather on Monday didn’t cooperate, and a lot of players withdrew late.
