Local guy Joao Fonseca is already into the semifinals in doubles, to the delight of the tournament and the crowd.

Now, he was looking to make the singles quarterfinals against a guy from Peru he knew all the way back (years!!!) in the juniors. But he couldn’t make it. The haters are gonna hate.

In Doha, six of the eight seeds made the quarterfinals. And the other two were … Stefano Tsitsipas and Arthur Fils. They couldn’t ask for much more, especially with the Alcaraz-Sinner 1-2 punch for a second straight evening. Except for Sinner losing.

In Delray Beach, with four singles matches on tap, they have an American involved in every match. And they ALL won.
