As crazy as it sounds, the US Open is just two weeks away. Time is flying.

And with that, the USTA announced its wild cards on Wednesday.

On the men’s side, the following players will receive direct entry into the singles main draw:

John Isner (Could be the final tournament of his career)
Alex Michelsen
Michael Mmoh
Steve Johnson (Winner of the USTA’s wild card playoff)
Ethan Quinn (NCAA singles champion)
Learner Tien (Winner of the under 18s)
Benjamin Bonzi (French Federation reciprocal)
Rinky Hijikata (Tennis Australia reciprocal)

On the women’s side, the following players are straight in.

Venus Williams
Caroline Wozniacki
Ashlyn Krueger
Robin Montgomery
Kayla Day (Winner of the USTA’s wild card playoff)
Clervie Ngounoue (Winner of the under 18s)
Fiona Ferro (French Federation reciprocal)
Storm Hunter (Tennis Australia reciprocal)

(Tian Fangran of China won the women’s NCAA singles title, defeating Canadian Layne Sleeth in the final – but to get the wild card, you have to be American).

Men’s qualifying wild cards

(The youngest, Blanch, is just 15. Trevor Svajda, the younger brother of Zachary, is 17).

(It should be noted that not many of these qualifying wild cards are going to very young players; some of them are in their mid-20s.
(Not getting a wild card is Taylor Townsend, who is right behind next-in Madison Brengle in the current alternates list and likely will get in anyway. But nothing is guaranteed).
