Open Court

MORE TENNIS THAN YOU'LL EVER NEED

The three top seeds, and a local, were the final four in Beijing. Which is about the best you can ask for in a 500 – especially when the top three are Sinner, Alcaraz and Medvedev. And it will be another Sinner-Alcaraz clash in the final.

In Tokyo, they were at the finals stage. And while it was two unseeded players who made it, it was a nice all-French lovefest that featured an extremely high level of tennis.

In Beijing, two Canadians are still alive in the qualifying; wins on Tuesday put them into the main draw to join Félix Auger-Aliassime and Alejandro Tabilo.

(Beijing is 12 hours ahead of EDT; Tokyo is 13 hours ahead)
