SBD Preview: Friday’s US Open third-round WTA matches

The third round begins Friday at the US Open (save for a few second-round matches held over after rain Thursday night).

And the top half of the draw remains Naomi Osaka’s to lose.

This preview peace takes a look at the odds for all eight of the clashes on the schedule, and a closer look at three of them.

It’s actually pretty surprising how some of the players (Brady over Garcia, Osaka over Kostyuk, Rogers over Brengle and Kontaveit over Linette) are such heavy favorites.

We’ll see, as always, how it plays out on the court.
