NEW YORK – The eventual departure of U.S. Tennis Association director of player development Patrick McEnroe was big news at the U.S. Open Wednesday, as the results of the program under his directorship had been heavily criticized.
Still, the way it all went down just served to put the spotlight on how incestuous a sport tennis is, with multiple people holding multiple jobs and creating multiple conflicts of interest.
