Reuters reports that after discussion amongst the various parties during the US Open, the World Team Cup (up to 24 countries) could see the light of day in January 2019.
The 10-day event would be held in several cities offering big money, and lots of ATP points. It would send several opening events (including Brisbane and the Hopman Cup) scrambling.
Andy Murray, a vocal early supporter, has just committed to “starting his season in Australia” for the next three years. Fairly cryptic, as his entry into Brisbane was confirmed only for next year.
