The Czechs are among the more close-knit groups on the WTA Tour. They even survived a round of intramural coach-swapping this season.
But according to Barbora Strycova, her Olympic doubles partner Karolina Pliskova went way too far in snatching coach Tomas Krupa right from under her nose.
So it’s … over.
“Our relationship is zero. When she told me she was interested in my coach (at the US Open), her manager, (Michal) Hrdlička, was already with him. It was plotted behind my back,” Strycova told the Czech media Idnes.
Hrdlička, a former sports presenter, also is Pliskova’s fiancé.
