Sanchez Vicario divorce drags on

Beyond former No. 1 Arantxa Sanchez Vicario’s financial woes, there’s the matter of her ongoing divorce from husband of 10 years Josep Santacana.

And that one is proving just as complicated.

According to reports this week, Santacana first filed for divorce in January, only to withdraw the petition a few weeks later. Sanchez Vicario filed herself, on March 1.

But the court officials can’t find Santacana to serve him. 

Meanwhile, Santacana now wants the divorce handled in Spain despite the fact that the couple has lived in Miami for five years. So jurisdiction must be determined.

Lawyers are getting rich.
