It’s hard to fathom that this constructions zone will be a rebuilt Grand Slam centre court in 10 months.
But the progress on the French Open’s Court Philippe-Chatrier has gone from the removal of the 15,000 seats a week ago to some serious blasting of the beautiful and historic stone structure.
A lot of the memories will go with it, for sure. Just as they will disappear in New York next month, as the “new” Louis Armstrong Stadium is set to open.
The price of progress, apparently.
