Andreescu feted in Mississauga

Bianca Andreescu was fêted in Mississauga, Ont. Sunday, capping off a week of appearances and tributes.

She got a big hug from Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau. 

Monday is “Bianca Andreescu Day” in Toronto. But she’s in Montreal to train. Her afternoon (3-5 p.m.) session was open, with autographs etc. afterwards.

Team Andreescu insisted NO interviews with Quebec media which – if you understand the national culture – did not go over in the French-Canadian city most supportive of women’s pro tennis.

They also didn’t let the media help get news out about the fan availability. A few people found out somehow. 🙂
