ADELAIDE, Australia – As Novak Djokovic prepares to play his second-round match in Adelaide against France’s Quentin Halys on Thursday afternoon, a look back at Tuesday when he deftly handled all of the inevitable questions about his return Down Under after his first-round win over Constant Lestienne.
Djokovic was happy – and a little surprised, he said – about the warm reception he has received around the city, and the huge crowd that lined up to see and support him during his first-round match Tuesday.
He has turned the page, he said, and holds no grudges.
“What you focus on, you become,” he said. And so he chooses to only focus forward, and on happier things.
Good life advice for anyone.
Here’s what he sounded like.
