But he has gotten through, despite some stomach woes, and back issues, and now faces a resurgent Dimitrov – a contemporary, for a change – in the Paris Masters final.

That turned out to be the most routine part of the week, as Djokovic wins his 40th Masters 1000 title, and his seventh in Paris-Bercy.
