MELBOURNE, Australia – The rest of the top half of the men’s draw, and part of the bottom half, got under way on the first full-schedule day of the 2024 AO.

That includes Milos Raonic, who got – as expected – the night session on Rod Laver Arena as he met top Aussie Alex de Minaur. Unfortunately, a hip issue forced him to retire early in the third set.

Félix Auger-Aliassime faces Dominic Thiem on the second court – Margaret Court, in the second night match and that one turned out to be crazy drama.

And Denis Shapovalov faced a dangerous, rising young player in Jakub Mensik. And was out in straight sets.
