MORE TENNIS THAN YOU'LL EVER NEED

WTA Tour – Tuesday, July 30, 2024 final results

Some good matches on the docket, with Paula Badosa playing Sofia Kenin, and Victoria Azarenka and Taylor Townsend also in action.

But for Canadian content (and Instagram purposes), it was the return of Eugenie Bouchard to the WTA Tour.

Bouchard got a wild card into the doubles with sometimes partner (back when she was regularly playing) Sloane Stephens.

Her last doubles match at the WTA level was in Guadalajara last September. She also got a wild card into the doubles in Montreal, where she lost with Rebecca Marino in a tight one. Before that, it had been nearly a year, when she made the semifinals of a 250 in Chennai, India with Yanina Wickmayer.

Stephens and Bouchard made the final in D.C., all the way back in 2017. No such luck this time.
