MIAMI – Can Novak Djokovic finally get ATP Tour title No. 100?
It’s been a long time coming. And as with most players in his age range, those nerves have often kicked in when those milestones were within in reach.
Standing in his way was a rising young gun; the difference in age between Djokovic and Jakub Mensik (more than 18 years) is the biggest-ever differential in a Masters 1000 final.
And a number of other issues, including an issue with his eye. In the end, he gave it everything, but fell just short as Mensik wins his first career title, to deny Djokovic his 100th.
(Miami is on ET).
