It was a big week for Canadian Gabriel Diallo, who won his first career title on the ATP Tour AND moved into the top 50 for the first time.
He heads to Queen’s Club for the first time with a full head of steam.
So does Taylor Fritz, who moves back up to his career high of No. 4 with his fifth title on grass (three of them came at Eastbourne, the week before Wimbledon).
Ben Shelton joining the top 10 means there are three Americans in the top 10, and four in the top 13. No matter what John McEnroe says, they’re thriving.

(First-round opponents this week in brackets, if applicable)
Taylor Fritz (USA): No. 7 ==========> No. 4 (A fifth title on the grass courts for Fritz, and a fifth straight victory over Alexander Zverev as he moves up to No. 4 in the world and ties his career high)(Queens/[Q] Corentin Moutet)

Ben Shelton (USA): No. 12 ==========> No. 10 (By making the semifinals in Stuttgart, Shelton breaks into the top 10 for the first time. That’s three Americans in the top 10, which is some doing).

Felix Auger-Aliassime (CAN): No. 29 ==========> No. 27 (Good to see the Canadian’s ranking back on the upswing, as he loses to eventual champion Fritz in the Stuttgart semifinals).

Gabriel Diallo (CAN): No. 55 ==========> No. 44 (Into the top 50 for the first time, Diallo makes his second ATP Tour final in ‘s-Hertogenbosch – and wins his first career title)(Queens/[WC] Billy Harris)

Zizou Bergs (BEL): No. 63 ==========> No. 49 (Bergs back nto the top 50 with his run to the ‘s-Hertogenbosch final)(Halle/[8] Karen Khachanov).
Reilly Opelka (USA): No. 87 ==========> No. 75 (Opelka’s ranking slowly but surely rising after missing the better part of two years, and the semifinal in ‘s-Hertogenbosch only helps his cause).
Mark Lajal (EST): No. 195 ==========> No. 168 (Lajal makes the quarters in ‘s-Hertogenbosch and moves to a new career high).

Dino Prizmic (CRO): No. 252 ==========> No. 175 (The 19-year-old Croat, who first got a little attention a year and a half ago at the Australian Open, went through some injuries but is back. He wins the Bratislava Challenger title and gets back into the top 200, and closer to his career high).

Ben Shelton (USA) (No. 10)
Gabriel Diallo (CAN) (No. 46)
Mark Lajal (EST) (No. 167)
Justin Engel (GER) (No. 235)

Jack Draper (GBR): No. 4 ==========> No. 6 (Idle last week, Draper drops the 250 points from winning Stuttgart a year ago. He’s the No. 2 seed at Queen’s Club this week)(Queens/[PR] Jenson Brooksby)

Alex de Minaur (AUS): No. 10 ==========> No. 12 (Shelton moving up and de Minaur dropping points from winning ‘s-Hertogenbosch last year means the Aussie is out of the top 10 for only the second week since last September)(Queens/Jiri Lehecka)
Sebastian Korda (USA): No. 23 ==========> No. 26 (Korda’s presence at the bigger events (and the smaller ones) has been fairly undependable in recent years as he just never seems to be fully healthy. He drops points from his semifinal at ‘s-Hertogenbosch a year ago. And he’s also out of Queen’s Club this week, where he’s defending semifinal points).
Matteo Berrettini (ITA): No. 28 ==========> No. 34 (Berrettini drops points from his final in Stuttgart a year ago. And he’s also out of Queen’s Club this week, which makes you think that Wimbledon is rather unlikely).

Jacob Fearnley (GBR): No. 49 ==========> No. 60 (Fearnley loses in the first round in Stuttgart, dropping the points from winning the Nottingham Challenger last year. These are the growing pains from moving up to the ATP level full-time, for the first time).
Hugo Gaston (FRA): No. 77 ==========> No. 87 (Gaston won a Challenger in Lyon a year ago, and didn’t play last week, so he drops 10 spots).
Kamil Majchrzak (POL): No. 95 ==========> No. 109 (With a first-round loss in Ilkley, Majchrzak doesn’t defend the points he earned by winning the Bratislava Challenger a year ago. He went into that one on the comeback trail after serving a doping suspension, just inside the top 300 and ended it just outside the top 200. But he still squeezed into the main draw at Wimbledon. So he’s way ahead of the game).
