Newlywed Félix Auger-Aliassime is the only Canadian still alive out of the four in the singles draw.
And while he had a tough task against No. 8 seed Lorenzo Musetti on Wednesday to get to the quarterfinals, he made it look prtty routine.
They’ve played a fair few times – seven, three of them in 2022, four of them on clay. Musetti won in Miami this year, and in the bronze-medal match in Paris last summer. Both were three-setters. The two wins in 2022 for Auger-Aliassime came on a fast indoor hard court, his specialty.
With No. 7 seed de Minaur the highest seed remaining in this half, it is truly up for grabs.
