The WTA doubles debut for Belgians Alison Van Uytvanck and Greet Minnen, given a wild card in Luxembourg, ended up in Titletown.
Ranked No. 311 in singles, Minnen’s doubles ranking shot up more than 500 spots. It was her WTA Tour main-draw debut – only her second career event at that level.
“It’s been amazing to play with you this week,” Van Uytvanck told her partner. The pair are also partners in life.
“We know each other really, really well, so we had a great connection on court, so I hope we can continue like this,” she added.
