Vickery feels Miami Open snub

American Sachia Vickery, who upset Garbiñe Muguruza at Indian Wells, is chapped the Miami Open didn’t offer her a wild card.

“I was born and raised in Miami and grew up playing at Crandon Park , I’ve also had decent results this year. Very disappointing,” she added on Twitter.

Vickery later (rightly) deleted a reply where she wrote she had never received a wild card.  

She twice got passes into qualifying in Miami. Also: a main draw wild card at Indian Wells in 2015, and at the US Open in 2013 and 2015. Among others.

She’ll hit a career-high No. 89 Monday.
