Lisicki back in winner’s circle

The returns from injury by some former top-10 players are being highly chronicled.

And then there are others, under the radar, who also are working hard to get back.

One of those players is Sabine Lisicki.

The former Wimbledon finalist, whose ranking is down to No. 227, has missed big chunks of time the last few years. Most recently this year, she was out from Miami through Wimbledon.

Lisicki also was out from Nov. 2016 through June of last year.

She posted her first WTA Tour since February Monday in Guangzhou, China, defeating Vera Zvonareva 6-4, 6-2.
