Marina Erakovic, the Croatian-born Kiwi who retired in Dec. 2018 after reaching No. 39 in singles and No. 25 in doubles on the WTA Tour, is back in the game – for a week.
Erakovic will captain the New Zealand Fed Cup team in the Group II playoffs in Wellington, NZL this weekend.
She finished a business degree last year and reportedly will attend medical school this year.
Erakovic holds the record for most singles wins in New Zealand Fed Cup history, going 18-7 during a career that spanned 27 ties.
Canadian Erin Routliffe, who represents New Zealand, will be on the squad.
