Finally, after a week or more in “tennis paradise”, Canadian Félix Auger-Aliassime got on court in singles, as he faced Albert Ramos-Viñolas of Spain.

It did not go well, as the 21-year-old went down in straight sets. His Indian Wells ended almost before it began.

And Alejandro Tabilo, a Canadian who now represents Chile, continued his run from the qualifying and meets No. 5 seed Matteo Berrettini. But the Italian was too good.
