INDIAN WELLS, Calif. – No Canadians in singles.

But SHAUGER is back, as Félix Auger-Aliassime and Denis Shapovalov reunited in doubles.

Auger-Aliassime was to play with Sebastiak Korda, who pulled out because of a wrist injury.

But he had wanted to play doubles here and within the parameters of how the ATP allowed players to re-pair for doubles following a partner’s withdrawl, Shapovalov was a fit and also a familiar presence.

They faced a tough opener against young guns Holger Rune and Ben Shelton.

Well, not so tough. With the help of a lot of Canadian support, they crushed ’em.
