But the Slovak was just too solid – especially once Andreescu had a 5-3 lead in the first set. After that, it sort of went downhill for the Canadian.

And Swiss wild card Céline Naef, in her WTA-level debut, backed up her win over Venus Williams with another against someone in her age group, No. 8 seed Caty McNally.
