The No. 1 and No. 2 seeds were on the sked Tuesday in Warsaw, which for a late-July had-court tournament is pretty great because it’s a rematch of the Roland Garros final between Iga Swiatek and Karolina Muchova.

Swiatek didn’t breeze through, but she did get throug in straight sets. Muchova needed a comeback win, in a third-set tiebreak, to advance.

No. 6 seed Camila Giorgi is out of Warsaw. No. 1 seed Irina-Camelia Begu, who was the No. 1 seed last week at a WTA 125 in Romania but lost in the final, is out of Lausanne. Sara Errani is out as well.

In Hamburg, No. 1 Donna Vekic and No. 2 Mayar Sherif also got on court for the first time. As it turns out, it’ll be the only time.
