No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz and No. 7 Casper Ruud are bumped to the second court in Beijing – in part because of the scheduling needs of the WTA Tour (which is a 1000).
The late night match on the main court was Sinner vs Dimitrov, which turned out to be a more competitive match.
It’s always possible that they asked Alcaraz if he wanted to play late, late late and he decided that playing earlier on the second court was a better option.
In Astana, they’re at the semifinal stage.
(Beijing is 12 hours ahead of EDT; Astana is 10 hours ahead)
