One Canadian in the final round of qualifying and he wass first up.
Alexis Galarneau took on No. 11 seed Rinky Hijikata for a spot in the Omnium Banque Nationale main draw.
He had it in the bag (almost). And then when the finish line felt SO close, he flinched.
The overnight wait to start and finish the third set could be a blessing or a curse, depending on how it all shakes out.
But no one was able to finish their match before rain cancelled play for the day a little before 5:30 p.m. Except for one quick retirement.
