The final round of singles qualifying was the only action on the docket on this Monday in Toronto, as the main draw has been pushed back a day because of the Olympics.

Stacey Fung, who won the pre-qualifying tournament to get the qualifying wild card, looked to follow up a solid win against Jule Niemeier with a trip to the main draw. But she couldn’t get past top seed Katie Volynets.
