MELBOURNE, Australia – A lot of other finals – including the men’s doubles final to follow.
But the spotlight match on Saturday at Melbourne Park was the women’s singles final between No. 1 seed Aryna Sabalenka – seeking her third straight Australian Open title – and No. 19 seed Madison Keys, who is seeking her first career Grand Slam title of any kind.
Sabalenka obviously went in as the favorite. But Keys broke through. Great final.
(Melbourne is 16 hours ahead of ET).
