Canadian stars Bianca Andreescu and Leylah Fernandez have never met on the WTA Tour.

At least not in singles. But on Friday in Vic, Spain, they had their first meeting – in the doubles final at the WTA 125 event there.

Both had disappointing runs in singles, with the whole purpose of going there to get more singles matches. Andreescu ends up with the biggest trophy.
