Taylor Townsend, who didn’t make a run in singles and didn’t spend much time on the clay this spring, is still alive in both women’s doubles and mixed.

The No. 1, No. 4 and No. 6 seeds in the men’s doubles all went out.

And Nadia Lagaev, the only Canadian in any of the junior draws at Roland Garros, played both singles and doubles and lost both first-round encounters.
