ROLAND GARROS – The last of the quarterfinals on both sides happen Wednesday, with the final “Le Night Session” being Novak Djokovic vs. Alexander Zverev.
It had potential to be a marathon. But Djokovic’s game plan – taking him far out of his comfort zone to do what needed to be done – was a revelation. Zverev had cruised through the draw so far, with no noise around him. And was fresh as a daisy.
On the women’s side, wild card Loïs Boisson’s topspin-laden game did more damage against bereeft No. 6 seed Mirra Andreeva? Insanity.
(Paris is six hours ahead of EDT).
