Griekspoor spoiled the potential all-Canadian semifinal party by beating Gabriel Diallo in the quarters on Thursday. And he doubled his Canadian pleasure by sending FAA out on Friday.

In Eastbourne, No. 6 seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, who was to face Carlos Alcaraz at Queen’s Club in the first round – just a few days after his wedding but probably smartly pulled out, found his road ended by top seed and defending champion Taylor Fritz.
