Even at 8, Denis Shapovalov had game

The best part of the more recent tennis generations is that you don’t have to guess how good they might have been when they were kids.

Unlike Jimmy, or Mac, or Martina – even Boris and Steffi – there’s ample video evidence for all of them.

Here is the new it-guy of men’s tennis, Denis Shapovalov, at age 8. 

You’d think the bandanna (since ditched for the backwards ballcap) was an homage to that celebrated Spanish lefty. But Shapovalov had a Federer poster on his door.
