
The first victim of the tragic incident in Toronto was announced Tuesday. And she had a tennis connection.
Anne-Marie D’Amico, who worked for Invesco, had started as a ball girl at the Rogers Cup when she was 12.
She most recently was the volunteer head of the stadium control committee, and was named “Volunteer of the Year” for the tournament in 2016.
Between herself, her brother, her parents and her grandmother, her family have more than 80 years of service in.
The tournament plans to honor her memory at this year’s tournament.
