A top-level seniors’ tournament in Mallorca this week is still buzzing as a pair of Croatian players entered a men’s doubles event … under assumed names.
The two played singles in the men’s 35s – and also paired up for the doubles.
Two events is the max. But it was discovered they’d entered a third category – posing as a pair 10 years older, from another country.
SCANDAL!
Both had been trounced 6-0, 6-0 in singles. They were kicked out.
Players had to show their driver’s licenses before they were allowed on court to play their matches.
Seriously, who does this?
