Ahead of her main draw debut at Roland Garros this year, 2019 junior girls’ champion Leylah Annie Fernandez had an opportunity to practice on the big court.
She and Puerto Rico’s Monica Puig went through their paces on Court Philippe-Chatrier – which, from courtside, looks even more imposing with the swaths of empty seats.
Fernandez went on to beat Magda Linette and Polona Hercog before going down to Petra Kvitova in the third round.
