MELBOURNE, Australia – It feels like a final, doesn’t it?

Serena Williams will meet Naomi Osaka for the fourth time in their careers, with Osaka leading the head-to-head 2-1.

But this might be the best Serena the 2020 US Open champion has ever seen.

If she can defeat that, she’ll have done quite the thing.

Here is Serena (and team) warming up just before noon on Court 11. A few fans saw this on the website practice schedule and headed over there.

It was about as low-key before a major semifinal as you can get. And no doubt Serena loved it that way.

(Note the friend whose job was to be ball picker-upper, kitted out in last year’s US Open Nike kit.
