ROME – Saturday was a game of survival more than anything for tennis at the Italian Open.

That – and waiting.

In the end, the remainder of the matches were cancelled at about 9:30 p.m. – which meant the night session was wiped out.

But only two singles matches didn’t get played in the end. They went right through a fairly substantial amount of rain through the day. And it was pretty miserable.

But they got a lot of tennis in.

And somehow Sofia Kenin managed to play BOTH singles and doubles (and lose both).
